The architect

Stela Dyli

Graduated from the Polytechnic University of Tirana and licensed by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, Category 2 — residential, industrial, tourism, interiors and landscape.

She did not spend her first years in front of a screen. She spent them coordinating projects, preparing bills of quantities and specifications and checking works against the building permit, in residential and tourism developments in Tirana, Palasë and Himarë.

That changes how she draws. Knowing what a solution costs before proposing it, she will not sell you an idea that dies on site. She builds the project around the figure you have, removing what you do not need — not the quality.

What is what. The projects listed below are work carried out in employed roles at companies and studios. They are not projects signed by THE LINE. The studio's own projects are under Projects.

Light before colour

A badly lit space cannot be saved with furniture. Lighting is decided in the design, not at the end.

The number before the proposal

Every solution has a build cost. We say it before drawing it, not after you have fallen for it.

No — and why

If a request hurts the project we say so and explain why. Then you decide.
